Spottable

Search all Facebook Marketplace across multiple locations

Facebook Marketplace does not provide one search for every location. The useful method is to repeat one precise item search across places where you could collect it. Spottable can keep those areas together in one iPhone watch, or a connected assistant can run the locations one by one through Spottable MCP.

Use the iPhone app when you want a search to keep checking and send alerts. Use MCP when you want an assistant to search several places now, compare the current results, and stop there.

Set up the search in Spottable

One description can include the item, budget, pickup areas, and listings you do not want.

Open New Watch

In the Spottable iPhone app, tap New Watch. Choose your first area, then describe the item you want.

Put the places in the description

Include the item, budget, cities, condition, and anything to avoid. Spottable turns the sentence into a draft watch.

Check the areas and preview

Review the draft, open the area row to add or edit locations, set the radius, and check the live results before saving.

Start watching

Tap Start watching when the preview looks useful. More locations use more watch points, and the app shows the required capacity before you start.

A multi-location watch can start with one sentence

Herman Miller Aeron size B under $600 in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, and Canberra. Exclude parts, replicas, and wanted ads.

Review the places before starting the watch. Use a larger radius when you would drive farther around one city. Add another location when you would make a separate trip there.

Run the same search with Spottable MCP

MCP works well for a current shortlist. It does not create a watch or send notifications.

Connect an assistant

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, or another supported MCP client from your Spottable dashboard. MCP access requires a verified paid Pro or Max plan.

Name every place in one prompt

Ask the assistant to repeat the same item search in each named city. Keep the budget, item details, and exclusions in the prompt.

Let the assistant run each search

The Marketplace search tool accepts one location per call, so the assistant runs it once for each place and combines the results.

Compare the shortlist

Ask for the best listings across every city, grouped by location or ranked by price and fit. Open or analyse only the listings that make the shortlist.

Give the assistant the locations and the output you want

Search for a Herman Miller Aeron size B under $600 in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, and Canberra. Run the same filters in each city, remove obvious duplicates, and rank the ten best listings by price and fit. Show the city beside each result.

This request uses one Marketplace search call per city. Each call costs one Spottable credit and returns up to 20 listing cards on one page. Ask for listing details, photos, or analysis after the shortlist so you spend those extra credits only on promising results.

Common questions about searching every Marketplace location

Can you search all of Facebook Marketplace at once?

Facebook Marketplace does not provide one button that searches every location. The practical method is to repeat one precise item search across the cities or regions where you could collect it. Spottable can keep several named areas together in one watch without using your Facebook login.

How do I search Facebook Marketplace in multiple locations with Spottable?

Open New Watch in the Spottable iPhone app. Choose an area, then describe the item, budget, locations, and exclusions. Review the draft, add or edit locations in the area row, check the live preview, and tap Start watching.

Can Spottable MCP search several cities?

Yes. Ask the connected assistant to run the same query in each named city and combine the results. The search tool handles one location per call, so each city uses a separate search call and one credit. Each call returns up to 20 results on one page.

Can Spottable MCP create a saved watch or send alerts?

No. Spottable MCP is read-only. It can search Marketplace, inspect listings, fetch photos, and run listing analysis, but it cannot create watches or notifications. Use the iPhone app when you want the search to keep running.

Should I add another city or increase the radius?

Increase the radius when you would travel farther around the same city. Add another city when it represents a separate pickup area or trip. Avoid heavily overlapping locations because they can return the same listings.

Does Spottable use my Facebook login or saved searches?

No. Spottable does not ask for your Facebook password, connect to your Facebook account, or import your Facebook saved searches. You configure the item and locations directly in Spottable.

Start with the places you would travel to

Describe the item once, add the cities or regions that make sense, and check the preview. Use the iPhone app for an ongoing watch or MCP for a current multi-city shortlist.

Paid watches check hourly by default. Boost offers minute-by-minute checks for eligible searches.
