Before you leave home
- The seller confirmed the exact width, depth, and height.
- I know whether the seller says it is solid wood, veneer, or flat-pack board.
- I asked about cracks, loose joints, swelling, stains, odors, pests, and past repairs.
- I know which parts, shelves, keys, cushions, brackets, or hardware should be included.
- I received photos of the back, underside, interiors, labels, and damaged areas I asked about.
- I know the stairs and loading access, and the item fits my vehicle.

Inspect before paying
- The item matches the listing photos, measurements, model, and agreed condition.
- The frame, legs, joints, and supports stay firm when I gently test them.
- Drawers, doors, recliners, wheels, gas lifts, and adjustments work as expected.
- I checked underneath, behind, inside, and along the edges for hidden damage.
- There are no signs of active pests, dampness, mold, heavy smoke, or pet odor.
- I checked any visible repair and can still afford the work.
- I can load and secure the item without damaging it, my vehicle, or myself.
